TALE OF A BLOGGER (PART V)

World is wonderful; we are fortunate to be a part of this world! In praise of the great creation of the world, great Indian poet Mahakavi Bharathiyar says:

இறைவா! இறைவா!

Yes; it is our fortune that we are born as human beings in this wonderful world! “Rare to be born as a human being” rightly observed one of the savants in Tamil grand Tamil saint Avvayar..

Time is flying fast!

Today it is my TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTIETH post in ENVIUS THOUGHTS! This is in the course of 240 days reckoned from February 28th 2015 when this blog was launched!

God has been so kind and compassionate but for which I could not have gone on with this pursuit in an unbroken chain and I am immensely grateful to my Goddess of Learning and wisdom “SARASWATHI” of India, Myanmar, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia, “Minerva” of Rome, “Huginn and Munin” of the Norse religion, “Allah” of Islam, “Jesus Christ” of Christianity and a host of others.

I am particularly grateful to my respected viewers from 188 countries! There are several followers.

I have to make a specific reference to my former colleague in LIC of India, now settled in Tamilnad -Periyar District, by name Shri OKR Sivagnanam, who is regularly sharing in his face book my daily post with a detailed, scholarly analysis of the post. In fact I am compiling the same to share with all my viewers at an appropriate time!

Several compliments, comments, commendations and concerns too!

Here is one such concern:

Dear Subbaraman
I regularly go through your blog.
Really thought provoking
My only concern is when these messages will go down to schools through teachers.
If you start any attempt to take it down through missions to schools and colleges the Secularists will make a cry
I remember in my and your times moral science was compulsory. Civics too was a subject.
Some organizations should take it down to the children and college level instead of preaching to a closed and familiar audience again and again
Thanks
Sridhar

As my friend feels, I also wish that the youngsters are benefitted by such blogs. Though a treasure of data is made available by the WORDPRESS.COM, we don’t know out of nearly 18000 views by almost 12000 visitors from 188 countries of the world, how it reaches the children and youth in their impressionable age, who need to be inspired to become great and valuable CITIZENS OF THE WORLD!

In fact at a particular point of time, when I published my poem “A DISTANCE VOICE IS HEARD” (38th post on 22nd April) and again included in my TALE OF A BLOGGER PART I (50th post on 3rd May), I wanted to know from my valued viewers about the usefulness of the blog- from the angle of the individuals and the society. Yes; I got some feedback based on which I continue my blog journey!

Giving a concrete shape to my desire I have given a small survey material and I request you to kindly fill up online and mail to draw very valuable inputs on my passion for the blog.

We know we come across many , many surprises, joy, disappointments and all feelings and emotions in life. In fact that is the nature of life. But then here is a peculiar disappointment that I come across which I would like to share with my great viewers. On every Sunday, I am used to send an email communication to all friends whose email ids are with me. May be around 300.  I inform about the Sun day write up, week’s posts, thank and solicit their continued support. Disappointment lies in the mails bouncing- almost all the mails-around 200 out of 300!?!?!?.  Might be my message looks like spam and automatically rejected!!!

As the days pass by, I feel a sort of warmth and friendliness, proximity and closeness with my viewers. I, therefore, feel like sharing my feelings and emotions with them and here is a narration in verse form:

IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT!
God gave his judgment on that fateful day
The day my beloved wife was snatched away
That I be kept in solitary confinement
May be for HIM a thing of entertainment!

Morning nine to evening six on all week days
For me – busy like a bee in so many ways.
My indomitable spirit with her grace
Will give me will power and strength to face
This and more, more and more of worry and pain
Focus remaining to keep my children main! (10)

“EXPERIMENTS WITH TRUTH” Gandhi wrote
“DISCOVERY OF INDIA”- Pundit Jawaharlal wrote
All in solitary confinement in those days
Inspiration that we draw, in plenty it pays!
My ‘End of an Era’ came to an end though belated
Tagore’s Geethanjali got translated
Eight more books published since then
Many to come in course of time through my pen!

I have many miles to go before I rest (20)
Her command “till the last give your best”!

All in my life as of now are just a few
Taking early walk- much, much before dawn
Blog work ENVIUS THOUGHTS for an hour-as pawn
Before six after domestic chores, bath and prayer by seven
Visiting temple nearby a routine hoping for heaven!

Taking care of my household duties in queue
Blog work –a great pastime-finding the view score anew
Children calling me ‘uncle’ on way to their school
And on return from school for minutes few! (30)
No sleep or rest during day-a luxury
Read and write if time to be spent and necessary!

No more festivals and festivities for life
No more pujas and prayers- used to be in file.
No TV, no music, no CD, no I pod and all
Gone, gone along with her – a long time joy-tall!

Now great’ computer my refuge’- for hours fast
Idling time in balcony after four, brooding on the past.
Watching the birds returning to their nests
In cycles and cars, in cabs and bikes for rest!

Having dinner on time – a great food savvy
Retiring to bed not to sleep till -Nidhra Devi
Goddess of sleep takes to her kind lap tight
Turning right to left and left to right!

If that is the pride and pleasure the Almighty to nourish
He has a source perennial in me to draw and flourish!
Life goes, has to go on whether one likes or not
Enjoys or not- till the end comes- to come on dot! (48)

At the instance of one of the keen viewers of ENVIUS THOUGHTS made the “ROTARY (International) CLUB OF MADRAS-PALLAVA” to invite me as their Guest Speaker on 14th instant and topic I chose was “BHARATHI AND ROTARY”. I shall give a detailed report in one of my forthcoming Sun day stories. The address was well received. I related the FOUR WAY TEST of the RI and Bharathiyar’s thoughts.

N V Subbaraman addressing Rotary Club of Madras Pallava on 14/10 on Bharathi and Rotary.
N V Subbaraman addressing Rotary Club of Madras Pallava on 14/10 on Bharathi and Rotary.

Firmly believing in HIM, the Lord Almighty, Omnipotent and Omniscient, let me continue on this theme in my THREE HUNDRETH POST- TALE OF A BLOGGER PART SIX !!!???.
Bye for the day!
