No end to Thy grace

My Lord! The ghost of ego

Driven without trace!

Stronger ghost of Thy mercy

Drove me mad right in frenzy!

Lord of Holy Hill! Before the ghost of ego overtakes me, the ghost of your immense grace has overpowered me. You have driven me mad and your grace is endless.

One ghost can be overpowered only by a stronger ghost! The ghost of ego like negatives can be overpowered only by a stronger positive ghost of Lord’s grace and compassion. That ghost of compassion and grace has driven the seeker to madness- madness of devotion and dedication to the Lord. That madness has made the sadhaka to shed all his negative tendencies. Precisely the greatness of the Almighty is that indeed.

Only you can save

Lord! – this tender stem like me

With Thy support-grace!

Lord of the Holy Hill! Before the tender stem like me gets withered, shower thy grace in support to grow.

A seeker after truth feels as a young girl waiting to seek the hands of a life partner but then unable to and like a tender stem about to wither without a strong support and he seeks the support of the Lord of the Holy Hill to save. HE is verily a preceptor guiding the seeker to come out of the external bondages in life.

Power of magic

Lord! You have rid me of self

Made my soul merge!

Lord of the Holy Hill! By a divine magic, you have removed my ego and shown Thy effulgence to me!

Bhagwan Ramana is grateful to the Lord of Holy Hill for having removed the self in him by HIS power of magic and made him see HIS effulgence

This in fact helped him to merge with the Ultimate- the Parabramham.

The sense of I and mine – ego- stand on the path of realization as a hurdle which the Lord has cleared by the power of HIS Divine magic.

Quickly show me path

Out of war through birth and death

Lord! Ego filled life!

Lord of Holy Hill! Struggle of the circle of birth and death, of the forces of good and bad-ego and the opposite is to be seen and observed. Please show the same to me and also the path to go away from it.

A constant struggle is on within one’s inner self; struggle on the cycle of births and deaths, ego state of mind and egoless state of mind, forces of evil and good. The struggle can end only with the grace showered by the Lord of the Holy Hill. The Almighty is the organizer of the struggle and we are simple witness to the same. In a spirit of absolute surrender, the seeker is to witness and Bhagwan requests the intervention of the Lord to come away from the struggle.

Remove this craze – Lord!

For my physical body

Grant joy of bliss- God!

Lord of Holy Hill! Remove my craze for this physical body and bless me to enjoy your ever effulgent self in all my life.

The inner self is surrounded by ignorance and illusions, a craze for the physical body and as a result of which the man is unable to enjoy the self-effulgent paramaathmaa within himself. Bhagwan Ramana here requests his Lord to grant him joy of bliss giving up all the desires for the physical body.
