Academic year is gone thanks to CORONA only online classes and exams sitting at homes. Here is a student’s prayer on the occasion.
Oh! Goddess of knowledge and wisdom!
Many born with me have no source
To pursue education with resource
Which I am blessed thanks to my parents
Who sacrifice all their money and comforts
To make me well read with quality
So that I may serve them and society!
Help me concentrate on my goal
In all sincerity with my heart and soul!
Knowledge is precious wisdom more
That help me locate what is core
In life with the guidance of my Master
Whom I revere as your Messenger!
With CORONA ruling the roost, classes and examinations
With technological advancement, are all on line- admiration
For the organizers. Let me do them with all seriousness
And come out successful to be complimented by my parents!

Playing in the mud which elders desist and discourage children!
June Twenty Ninth is today observed as International Mud day!
In two thousand eight Gillian McAuliffe, Pedagogista and Founder of
Bold Park Community School in Perth, Australia, was at the World Forum
For Early Childhood Care and Education. had a discussion with a colleague
From Nepal about the challenges children face when playing together in the Mud.
On the plane returning from the Forum, thought of the obstacles that Stand among
Children and their ability to enjoy the simple, natural act of Playing in mud.
Challenges – preferences for cleanliness, lack of Access to “disposable”
Clothing that can be dirtied and proper cleaning Supplies, or dry,
Sandy geography not conducive to muddy conditions.
When she returned to school in Perth, she spoke to group of Young ones.
They, in turn, decided to fund to purchase clothing for Nepalese children,
And thus all play in the mud “together”. raised Over one thousand pound,
Paid for new clothing for children in Bishnu, Nepal, where a Mud Day
Event was held for Panchkhal orphanage.
Now, every year on this day, children from all over the world celebrate
International Mud Day as a way to connect joys of playing in the mud!
As mythology would have it Lord Krishna ate mud and got
Reprimanded by HIS mother Yashodha! Children like mud!!!!
Yes this week\s Sunday Story (2029th post) is on WORLD FATHERS DAY! ENVIUS THOUGHTS carried a Sunday story on Mothers Day on 16th May last month which was received overwhelmingly by our esteemed viewers and a few also suggested a post on FATHERS DAY and the effect is today’s Sunday story on FATHERS DAY!
MOTHER IS GOD!
India –sacred land worships one’s mother as
FIRST GOD! They say MATHA, PITHA, GURU, DHEYVAM-First in the priority for respect and reverence, love and affection is MOTHER followed by FATHER, third GURU (Teacher) and FINALLY DHEIVAM that is GOD! Probably because of this we call our country as MOTHER INDIA!
Today Twenty First June being FATHERS DAY, it is apt to have this week’s Sunday Story on that head. 2029th post on the 1973rd day of the Blog!
Fathers Day is a day for many people to show their appreciation towards fathers and father figures worldwide.Events and observations associated with this day is to show our respect and love for father by presenting some gifts- what he likes most if the individual is fortunate enough to have.
Father’s Day is celebrated worldwide to recognize the contribution that fathers and father figures make to the lives of their children. This day celebrates fatherhood and male parenting. Although it is celebrated on a variety of dates worldwide, many countries observe this day on the third Sunday in June.
Father’s Day 2020: The third Sunday of June is celebrated as Father’s Day in most parts of the world. Father’s Day is a celebration of fathers, honoring fatherhood, paternal bonds and the role fathers play in society.
Father’s day was first proposed in 1909 to complement Mother’s Day celebrations.
The third Sunday of June is celebrated as Father’s Day in most parts of the world. Father’s Day is a celebration of fathers, honoring fatherhood, paternal bonds and the role fathers play in society. This day was first proposed in 1909 to complement Mother’s Day celebrations.
Significance
On this day children acknowledge and appreciate their fathers and father figures, who play an important role in their lives, be it emotionally, mentally or even financially. On this day children understand the importance of the role of a father in one’s life. This day acknowledges the contribution of fathers to their own families and society at large. Children buy or make presents for their father or father-like figure, write and draw cards, spend the day engaging in activities that can be enjoyed with one’s father, be it hiking, fishing or just sitting around watching some television. In India especially, most kids have a closer bond with their mothers, so this day definitely helps forge a closer relation with one’s dad.
While India follows the US, and celebrates Father’s Day on the third Sunday of June every year, in other countries including Portugal, Spain, Croatia, Italy, Father’s Day is celebrated on March 19. And even though this is a Western tradition started in the United States of America, it has gained a lot of prominence in India in the past many years.
History
The day was founded in USA, where it is celebrated on the third Sunday of June, at the Spokane, Washington YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd. That year, Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910. Sonora heard about how Anna Jarvis had founded Mother’s Day in honor of her mother and told the pastor of her Church that there should be something similar to celebrate fathers too. Sonora’s father was Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, a single parent from Arkansas who raised six children. Sonora was hoping that Father’s Day celebrations would be held on June 5, which was her father’s birthday, but the Church’s time constraints ended up pushing this day and the celebration was deferred to the third Sunday of June.
My father – one of the most loved and respected teachers/Headmasters who died at the age of 87 in the year 1987 served lived in Karaikudi and spent his retired life in Thanjavur. Highly principled and what he preached, he practiced. He brought up his three sons including me in a way that stand up in good stead even today when I have just stepped into my EIGHTY! Whether it is taking walks in the very early mornings and evenings or visiting temples every day twice, reading, writing, loving all and helping all and hurting none and so on, I am regularly following the guidelines given by my beloved father till his death.
Fathers’ Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.
In the hierarchy of Indian persons to be
Revered and respected “FATHER” stands next to the
MOTHER and before TEACHER and God! Great indeed is he
“Fathers’ day” observed all over the world on twenty first June right!
In the creation of God and the noble thoughts of the
Human beings-father and fatherhood have a special
Place of honor-the role he plays sacrificing his self
For his family-kith and kin- great and noble self!
On this sacred day, let all pray, revere and respect
Godly fathers-responsible for what they expect
For their welfare- joy and peace, health and happiness ever
In their old age, take care-keeping them in old age home never!
I am happy that this day gave me a nice opportunity to think of my beloved father. I do hope that post-Sunday story would have been of interest to all our valuable viewers. We shal meet as usual on Monday and till then Bye!
For many indeed PICNIC is a luxury! Money apart time?
Time permitting nothing can be more joyful than a picnic
To a nearby spot with children enjoying the day with play
And food of different varieties prepared by beloved mother!
Selecting a day with nice climate neither very hot nor cold,
Spot with trees lovely, plants and flowers in full swing
A veritable day to spend with the beloveds free from home !
Joining children in their play, fun and frolic a joy by itself.
Sitting in a circle under the green wood tree, flowing mild breeze
Enjoying the music of birds sitting on the tree, flying around
Birds of different feathers, and colors and voices quite pleasant
Forgetting the responsibilities of office or business
Nothing can provide greater joy and pleasure for the family.
Lakh of money and materials cannot be equal to a day’s picnic!
Cruel it is my Lord! to put the young children to work
On the field and in the furnace in heat and dust can’t shirk
In the home as servants and in the firework units, shame
At an age to attend school to become great and get fame!
Cruel father spending time in gossiping and drinking
Shameless, sends wife and children to work and earn a living
Merciless human being selfish to be condemned, damned
And bring them to their senses, my God, Omnipotent-guide!
Pity is the indifferent Governments here and there
Unable to check the child labor with hands severe
Punish the healthy parents living on children’s earning
Allow the employer exploit children for meager pay!
Education, uniform free, free food for all at school
Thanks to that great Chief Minister Kamaraj!
Yet children not sent for studies but to work a shame!
Cruel child labor to go here and now, world over cool
People, Governments, social minded to work together
Register success grand, stamp out the shame altogether!
In the great creation of the Omnipotent Lord Almighty
Most important class to be taken care of and protected rightly
Is the children- innocent children indeed all over the world
The society has its ethical responsibility to be bold!
Here the innocent children victims of the aggressors-pity
Today fourth of June is The International Day of Innocent
Children Victims of Aggression a United Nations observance
Established on Nineteenth August Nineteen Eighty Two;
Focused on victims of the Nineteen Eighty Two Lebanon War,
Purpose expanded to “acknowledge the pain suffered by children
Throughout the world who are the victims of physical, mental and
Emotional abuse. Affirms the United Nations’ commitment
To protect the rights of children. Let us all join and take care of them!
