The day was created by United Nations from Two Thousand Eighteen!
United Nations and the Day apart, unless we are creative
And innovative our lives will be dry and monotonous pure
Let us in our own way create something and make our home beautiful
Any thing innovatively we do, adds purpose to our living!

Why fight with the shadow
While one has to fight with the real
Path of success may be narrow

Living in a metropolitan city like Chennai, METRO means many things! Metro water tankers plying to cover nook and corner to provide drinking water, pedestrians and vehiclers(?!) trying to cross with least regard for safety and getting into collision, blaming metro tankers for all the ills something unfortunate!
This week’s Sunday story (1800th post) in ENVIUS THOUGHTS deals with the pride of the city METRO RAIL and my recent ride just for its sake from Thirumangalam to Airport and back was indeed a nice and pleasant experience -for me who has not even seen since it started three years ago!
There are two corridors as of now and the details:

The details of the two corridors are given below:
Corridor-1:
Washermenpet–Broadway (Prakasam Road)–Chennai Central Station–Rippon Building–along Cooum River–Government Estate–Tarapore Towers–Spencers–Gemini–Anna Salai–Saidapet–Guindy–Chennai Airport
Corridor-2:
Chennai Central–along EVR Periyar Salai–Vepery–Kilpauk Medical College–Aminjikarai–Shenoy Nagar–Annanagar East-Anna Nagar 2nd avenue–Tirumangalam–Koyambedu-CMBT–along Inner Ring Road–Vadapalani–Ashok Nagar–SIDCO–Alandur–St. Thomas Mount.
The portions of Corridor-1 with a length of 14.3 kms. from Washermanpet to Saidapet, and Corridor-2 with a length of 9.7 kms. from Chennai Central to Anna Nagar 2nd Avenue will be underground and the remainder elevated.
My jolly ride with my two boys, daughters in law and grandson was just for a little more than a couple of hours last week. We enjoyed it thoroughly as there was no rush worth mentioning.
My boys who have seen several Metro rails in the country and abroad opined that Chennai Metro Rail can be rated as the best! Frequency, maintenance of the coaches and the stations, over all cleanliness every aspect was spic and span!

The day focuses on children waiting for permanent, loving families.
National Adoption Day helps the dreams of many children and families
Come true. many courts and communities came together to finalize
Thousands of adoptions of children from foster care. They celebrate
As dreams become a reality. Though very much practiced in other countries
We can also think seriously and adopt the children in the orphanages
And new lives to the deserted and the parents help in this noble task.

Another form of freedom struggle
To ensure peace and plenty free from peril!

To involve the intellectuals
To galvanize the society
To integrate the fractured nation
To infuse faith and confidence

Uthavum Karangal are there all over needing funds from the public!
Let us help to the extent possible on this awareness occasion!
