March 23,: Bhagat Singh’s Martyrdom Day

Bhagat Singh 1929.jpg

Path to Indian freedom was quite long, painful and tedious
Leaders and workers in thousands sacrificed  their all in their lives
Many were not there to see the Nation becoming independent
We enjoy freedom at their cost not repaying our debt of gratitude !

One of the many revolutionary workers fighting for freedom
Was Shaheed Bhagat Singh -executed this day twenty third March
In Nineteen Thirty One. Born in nineteen hundred and seven
Sacrificed his life before twenty five years of age!

Socialist revolutionary whose two acts of dramatic violence
Against the British in India and execution at age twenty three
Made him a folk hero of the Indian independence movement
One was fatally shooting down a twenty one year Police Officer.
In December Nineteen Twenty Eight- John Saunders, in Lahore.
Singh was convicted and hanged in  when he was just twenty three.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh became a popular folk hero after his death.
Jawaharlal Nehru wrote that Singh  became popular because
He vindicated the honour of Lala Lajpat Rai and  the nation.
Let us pay our respect to that great nationalist on this holy day.

CELLS seem to be dangerous species- of course not human cells ever
Society sans Cells-small rooms in Jails confining convicts for life
Atrocities and criminal activities will grow, world becomes a HELL

Different days were there when great leaders like Mahatma and others
Were confined to cells for years by the cruel British- freedom struggle
It was- Andaman cells classic! Cells of today with criminals galore-
Unfortunately true and inevitable for the society’s security.

Image result for Indian Republic day 2020 images

Indian Republic Seventy One
Democratic fruits enjoyed fine
Democratic rights availed in full
Democratic values laid in lull!

Rights yielded place to a free license
License to indulge in deeds nonsense
Nonsense leading to atrocities
Beyond all due sensitivities!

Achievements galore, pride on one hand
Atrocities galore, ashamed we stand!

Corrupted mind, stained thoughts, evil deeds
Here and there, everywhere, pity indeed!

Our success and failure, good and bad
Who is responsible- sure I am!
R-day resolve- to all should be same!
“Let me mend my mind, tame my thought
With power of will, evils to be fought
Sure allow not my Motherland rot!

If the world is there today with peace and harmony, freedom and Happiness
It is because of the noble services, selfless work done by a few great leaders
One such is  Martin Luther King, Jr., whose birth day is today!
King was the chief spokesperson for nonviolent activism
In the Civil Rights Movement, which successfully protested racial Discrimination in federal and state law.

He roared like these to take his people along with him:
