CELLS are inevitable in the present day society all over
CELLS seem to be dangerous species- of course not human cells ever
Society sans Cells-small rooms in Jails confining convicts for life
Atrocities and criminal activities will grow, world becomes a HELL
Different days were there when great leaders like Mahatma and others
Were confined to cells for years by the cruel British- freedom struggle
It was- Andaman cells classic! Cells of today with criminals galore-
Unfortunately true and inevitable for the society’s security.
Andaman cellular jail
CELL-LESS hands hardly one comes across today- a technical device for
Effective communication has taken its monstrous proportion
Mobile phone use while driving cause distracted Driving and crashes.
Due to the number of crashes related to Calls on a phone and texting While driving Thousands of death take place all over the world.
Society sans cell phones-a safe heaven!
Customer Delight, Customers are Kings, Consumers are supreme
Are the slogans we see and hear -here and everywhere all over
Obvious experience is consumers are taken for a ride
Denying their rights unfortunately they remain simply tied!
December Twenty Fourth today is National Consumer Rights day
Has a specific theme. On this day the Consumer Protection Act
Nineteen Eighty Six received the assent of the president.
A historic milestone in the consumer movement in our Motherland.
The day to highlight the importance of the consumer movement
And the need to make every consumer aware of their rights and
Responsibilities.provides consumers with effective safeguards
Against different types of exploitation-defective goods, deficiency
In services and unfair trade practices. Let us with efficiency
Guard ourselves, making use of the Act and Laws in our interest!
In a way I feel we are all refugees sent by the creator Almighty
To this world for a temporary phase-but our lives made worthwhile rightly!
But real refugees are unfortunate people becoming refugees
Due to external reasons-very miserable and atrocious to the core!
World Refugee Day marks a key moment for the public to show support
For families forced to flee.June Twentieth today is World Refugee Day.
Every year is observed with different themes declared by United Nations
This year’s theme is Global Compact on Refugees.indeed very important one.
It calls for investment in communities that host refugees to help ease
The pressure on the host and to help refugees become self-reliant.
Some important quotes on this:
Albert Einstein: “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything”
Kofi Annan: “I urge you to celebrate the extraordinary courage and contributions of refugees past and present.”
Anne Frank: “How wonderful it is that no one has to wait, but can start right now to gradually change the world! How wonderful it is that everyone, great and small, can immediately help bring about justice by giving of themselves.”
Martin Luther King Jr: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
Unfortunately the society is beset with frauds and fraudsters. The following are Ten Thirukkural Couplets translated by me into English. Wortds of wisdom that came from Saint Poet Thiruvalluvar more than 2000 years ago: This indeed the u8rgent need of the hour!
Indulge not in fraud
If not to be insulted
Guard from evil deeds! (281)
It brings awful woes
Very thought of defrauding
Coveting others! (282)
Wealth through coveting
Disappears in no time
A sin – demeaning! (283)
Fruits of fraud and greed
Though seem sweet, bring bitter woes
Attempt and get freed! (284)
To show love and grace
Is not the wont of a fraud
He covets and falls! (285)
Whose life uncontrolled
Go with love and lust for fraud
Get bad uncontrolled! (286)
Those who know their strength
Know well the evils of fraud
Indulge not a length! (287)
Fraudulent mind stands
As a virtuous thought holds
Hold to virtue strong! (288)
Evil thoughts bring doom
They sure suffer and perish
Shun fraud, avoid gloom! (289)
Fraudulent falls sure
Liability on earth
Heaven greets the pure! (290)
Birth and death are the inevitable aspects of all beings -human
And animals, plants and trees! Death of the humans thanks to -God of Death
And his ways are inscrutable indeed. Death by the terrorists’ bullet
Hindus or Sikhs or Muslims indeed condemnable and lamentable!
Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi all Indian greats
John Fitzgerald Kennedy-American President-all victims of terrorists.
May twenty first in Nineteen Ninety one cruelly killed in Chennai
For political purposes- atrocious and obnoxious.
Rajiv Gandhi the sixth Prime Minister of India for five years
Took office after the murder of his mom, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi,
Most youthful Indian Prime Minister at forty; was killed in
Tamil Nadu’s Sriperumbudur, addressing open gathering in help
Of Lok Sabha candidate when he was slaughtered in a suicide
Shelling. most youthful PM of India at forty after his mother
Previous Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was killed;
Let us pay homage to the great youthful leader Rajiv Gandhi!
World thrives on the sacrifices of thousands of its sons and daughters
It is for the world to remember and follow their foot steps and serve!
Sacrifices for the family, society, nation and the world
In any form or mode- sacrifices sure deserve honor quite bold!
Eighteenth March is today National Supreme Sacrifice Day
To honor those who made tremendous sacrifices for the sake
And the good of others as well as those who sacrifice their lives
Every day for us.! The men and women in uniform who have lay
Down their lives protecting their country and communities. And those
Who stepped forward during times of crisis to rescue a stranger
Or a neighbor and gave the supreme sacrifice now and then.
These sacrifices don’t come in uniform often remain unsung.
An assassin is sung today- with a temple for him and books published
As inhumanly planned by some at the Center! The assassinated
Getting into oblivion- a paradox we see here in our
Holy Motherland India that is Bharath! Let us arrest the trend!
