The change from princely luxuries to the doom of a protracted jail life was a big change. He had wonderful energy and ability. He was a great scholar and wrote a number of good books. His most famous book is “Discovery of India”. If people were employed at creating heaven on earth, everybody would be happy; instead each one is creating his own heaven by creating hell for others. Many people don’t fear a hell after this life and that’s because hell is on this earth, in this life. In this life there are many forms of hell that people walk through, sometimes for a day, sometimes for years, sometimes it doesn’t end. The kind of hell that doesn’t burn your skin; but burns your soul. The kind of hell that people can’t see; but the flames lap at your spirit. Heaven is a place on earth, too! To raise awareness on the troubles of widowed women with the International Widows Day. Especially in India women whose husbands are dead have to suffer complete social exclusion. Although it is not their fault that they lost their husbands, they lose the respect of those around them. Many of them have to live on the streets and suffer of hunger – the only escape would be suicide by have themselves burned alive together with their dead husband. If they do that they will be considered godlike. Normally they would also get peoples sympathy if their husband dies instead of discrimination.
